As a Southampton Photographer, I believe that extended family gatherings are a perfect opportunity for capturing special moments. In the case of a rainy day, it can be very difficult to reschedule your session with so many family schedules to coordinate, so I wanted to show you how beautiful a rainy session can still look! Rainy days may not seem ideal, but they can add a cozy feel to photos.

One way to make the most of a rainy day photoshoot is to take pictures on a porch. Porches provide cover from the rain while still allowing natural light to filter through. And if the rain lightens up, we will shift to a pretty outdoor location that is close by.

For this sweet family, it started raining at the end of their session, so we worked quickly to get some beach photos in and finished off their session on the front porch of their home.
