If I wasn’t already completely in love with Sauble Beach this sweet engagement session would have made me fall head over heels. With so many places for us to explore, the soft glow of evening light and distanced chatter of tourists  –  the evening was enchanting. There Candice and Scott’s couple session was playful and lighthearted and these two seemed to naturally belong by the water and with each other.

I believe that we fall in love because we crave a witness to our lives. We want someone to hear about our day. We want someone to enjoy the good times with us and someone to lean on when we are sad. But ultimately, we want to be loved for who we are. I love the quote from Victor Hugo:

“The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.”

And that is exactly what this sweet couple have. They love each other as they are, and have found happiness in that. So what better way to celebrate their love than a fun couples session along one of the prettiest beaches in Ontario? Sauble Beach will always be one of my favourite places, but truly anywhere near the water creates dreamy intimate photos, perfect for a couples session.

So as the waves gently ebb in and out and the sound of distant laughter drifts across the water.. they lean in closer to talk. The heat of the day slowly gives way to a cooler evening and they sit down on the large boulders to watch the sun set. And once again they have been a witness to each other, their life together and have enjoyed the happiness that brings.
