An Elegant Farm Wedding

The sun flickers through the leaves of the trees lining the long driveway down to Beth’s parent’s house. On the horizon, rain clouds threaten to steal the sunshine. As I pull to a stop, there is a flurry of excitement around the farm as friends and family are working quickly to pull together the decor that the rain had prevented the day before. Already, the farm looks stunning, beautifully groomed, with florals and gorgeous furniture perfectly staged.

As I walk downstairs to see the girls, laughter and lighthearted conversations filter up the stairwell. All the girls in their matching robes were looking stunning as hair and makeup were wrapping up. They talk about the details and decor being finished outside and the excitement of the day to come. We kept waiting for the rain to come, and to our delight, it kept holding off. We go outside onto the gorgeous back deck for getting ready photos and Beth and I slip away to get pictures with Jxsr, her stunning white stallion.

As guests arrive, the ceremony site begins to fill and the excitement builds. Clouds billow overhead and the slightest sprinkling of rain falls, just enough to give a little luck, and then it immediately stops. As Beth walks down the aisle, Johnny’s eyes light up and an admiring smile floods his face. As she reaches him, I see him whisper to her and I can only assume he was telling her how much he loved her and how beautiful she looked. The ceremony was beautiful, lighthearted and yet romantic, just the way these two are.

The afternoon slips away to the evening as formal portraits take place. And as Beth and Johnny arrive to the reception tent, hundreds of twinkle lights and candles glow giving the most gorgeous ambiance for them and their guests. Speeches are lovingly spoken, composed songs are sung and the dancing begins. What a beautiful way to start a lifetime together! Congratulations Beth and Johnny!!
